SERVICE

Land for Wildlife Gardening: Mrs du Toit & Mrs Tolomeo (Year 1 and above)

Our college grounds are home to many different birds and mammals and the Land for Wildlife Gardening group is involved in planting native plants to benefit not only college but the wildlife that we share it with.

This semester we will be planning and planting our new Bush Tucker Garden. We will learn all about bush tucker along the way. We plan to produce a booklet of information and photos so that students and teachers can use it to learn about the bush tucker plants in our garden.

We will also be looking after the areas we have previously planted and regularly monitoring the birds and mammals in our nesting boxes. We will collect and sow seeds, re-pot seedlings, prepare soil for planting, plant, water, mulch and weed. We will also go bird watching around the school and learn more about our birds at PBC.
